Both born under full moon, guided by the stars, and becoming aware, we found solace in the Northwoods after navigating the darkest nights. From Kayaking to Campground Keepers:

Our love affair with this land began with a whitewater kayak, purchased with a COVID stimulus check and a dream of exploring the hidden gems of the Northwoods. Soon, kayaking rapids became our escape, a way to wash away the anxieties of the world. Amy, a dedicated RN specializing in Functional Medicine, found solace in nature after tending to COVID patients. And Rafael, a former massage therapist with a managerial past, brought his calming touch and practical skills to the table.

A Place of Connection and Chi:

Our journey led us to River Forest Campground, a place that instantly felt like home. We saw its potential as an outdoor retreat center, a space to cultivate community, share our love for art, nature, music, and offer a haven for self-discovery. We envisioned clean showers, beautiful amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere where campers could feel like family.

From Bear Tooth Mushrooms to Dream Realizations:

Our journey has been paved with kindness and serendipity. A chance encounter with a bear tooth mushroom (Amy's secret weapon against GI woes) led to a friendship with the previous campground manager, who saw our passion and helped us make our dream a reality "Thank You, Amanda". Now, we're building a legacy of our own, one campfire story and laughter-filled night at a time.
