This is a cute little cabin village. Perfect for Adventure groups - 26 sleeping capacity.
Perfect for a corporate retreat, yoga retreat, bachelor/bachelor-et party, birthday parties, family reunion, or any other special occasion where friends and/or family vacation together and make lifelong lasting memories.
Rustic cabins for the “camper” who likes a roof over their head. It’s located on a wooded site with fire pits and picnic tables. There is a main gathering grassy area with a fire ring for community events.
The cabins have electricity.
Water, shower, & bathroom facilities are only a short walk away.
Guests must bring their own bedding.
Cabins 1,2, & 8 have queen-sized mattresses.
Cabins 3-7 have 2 bunk beds that will fit 4 people on twin-sized mattresses.

Kids enjoy tubing on the river, swimming in the nearby lakes, and exploring trails along the Wolf River.
Families enjoy engaging with the abundance of Mother Natures Playground, discovering plants, butterflies, dragon flies that are not found inside the city.
Some parents will be relieved to know, we do still offer wifi, just in the case of screen separation anxiety. But we sure hope they can find the benefit of being in the present moment in nature.

- Known as the Strawberry Moon, named by Native American tribes for the strawberry harvest season in June.
- Visible all night on June 24–25, rising around 8:30 PM CDT on June 24 and setting around 5:30 AM CDT on June 25

- Date and Time: July 24, 2025, at approximately 10:37 PM CDT
- Details:
- Known as the Buck Moon, named for the time when male deer (bucks) grow new antlers.
- Visible all night on July 24–25, rising around 8:15 PM CDT on July 24 and setting around 6:00 AM CDT on July 25.
- Look southeast at moonrise; the Moon will be high overhead by midnight.
Southern Delta Aquariid Meteor Shower
- Peak Date: July 29–30, 2025
- Visibility Period: Active from mid-July to late August, with peak activity overnight from July 29 to July 30.
- Details:
- Produces 10–20 meteors per hour at peak under dark skies.
- Radiates from the constellation Aquarius, visible in the southern sky from White Lake after midnight.
- Caused by debris from comet 96P/Machholz.
- In 2025, the Moon will be a waxing crescent (approximately 33% illuminated), setting early in the evening, providing dark skies after midnight for excellent viewing.
- Viewing Tips for White Lake:
- Best time: Between midnight and dawn, when Aquarius is higher in the sky.
- Face south and look up; meteors can appear anywhere in the sky.
August Full Moon (Sturgeon Moon)
- Date and Time: August 9, 2025, at approximately 2:56 AM CDT (07:56 UTC)
- Details:
- Known as the Sturgeon Moon, named for the ease of catching sturgeon fish in the Great Lakes during August.
- Coincides with the Perseid meteor shower’s peak, causing interference with meteor visibility due to its brightness.
- Visible all night on August 8–9, rising around 7:45 PM CDT on August 8 and setting around 6:30 AM CDT on August 9.

- Peak Date: August 11–12, 2025
- Visibility Period: Active from mid-July to mid-August, with peak activity overnight from August 11 to August 12.
- Details:
- One of the best meteor showers, producing over 50 meteors per hour at peak, with occasional fireballs (bright, exploding meteors).
- Radiates from the constellation Perseus, visible in the northeastern sky from White Lake after 10 PM CDT.
- Caused by debris from comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle.
- In 2025, a bright waning gibbous Moon (nearly full, ~90% illuminated) will rise around 9:20 PM CDT on August 11 and 9:45 PM on August 12, reducing visibility of fainter meteors. However, brighter meteors and fireballs will still be visible.
- Viewing Tips for White Lake:
- Best time: Pre-dawn hours (2–4 AM CDT) when Perseus is high in the northeast, though meteors are visible as early as 10 PM.
- Position yourself to block the Moon’s light (e.g., use a building or tree as a shield) and face northeast.
- Lie flat or use a reclining chair to scan the sky; no binoculars needed, as meteors move quickly.
